Texas A&M edge rusher Anto Saka has been included in The Athletic's 2026 "Freaks List," an annual compilation of exceptional college football athletes, as announced by the university on Monday. Bruce Feldman, who compiles the list, noted that Saka stands out as the most extraordinary athlete among a talented defensive line group.
Saka, who is 6-foot-4 and weighs 255 pounds, is a graduate student from Baltimore and wears jersey number 14. He transferred to College Station from Northwestern. He is joined by fellow transfer Sam M'Pemba, a redshirt junior who is 6-foot-3 and 257 pounds, having come from Georgia.
The Freaks List highlights remarkable athletic testing results in college football, based on reports from strength coaches and programs. It emphasizes raw physical capabilities rather than on-field performance, allowing players to be recognized before they have participated in games for their new teams. Texas A&M did not disclose Saka's specific ranking on the list.
The list was published while the Aggies are in the midst of Fall Camp, with the team's season opener scheduled for September 5 at Kyle Field.
