Wings eliminated as Valkyries rally for 77-73 Game 3 win

Golden State overcame a 16-point deficit on Oct. 2 to win the first-round series 2-1 at Chase Center.

The Dallas Wings were eliminated from the WNBA playoffs on Oct. 2, 2026, after Golden State rallied from 16 points behind for a 77-73 victory at Chase Center. The deciding Game 3 gave the Valkyries a 2-1 first-round series win.

Dallas still led 59-54 entering the fourth quarter, but Golden State outscored the Wings 23-14 over the final 10 minutes. Kaila Charles tied the game at 65 with a 3-pointer with 6:51 remaining.

Arike Ogunbowale briefly restored control for Dallas with a seven-point run. Golden State answered, and Gabby Williams hit the go-ahead jumper with 1:17 left. A successful late replay challenge preserved a Valkyries possession before Williams helped finish the game at the free-throw line.

Ogunbowale led Dallas with 30 points. Paige Bueckers added 17 points and six assists, making all 10 free throws while shooting 3-for-14 from the field.

Williams scored 17 of her 19 points after halftime. Tiffany Hayes supplied 18 points, and Veronica Burton finished with 16 points, 10 rebounds and six assists. Kiah Stokes collected 13 rebounds.

The victory was Golden State's first playoff series win and earned a semifinal berth against Las Vegas.
