The Texoma Patriots and the Grayson County Republican Party are organizing a candidate meet-and-greet event scheduled for September 29 at 7 p.m. The gathering will take place at the Van Alstyne Community Center, located at 262 N. Preston Avenue in Van Alstyne, Texas.
The event is designed to introduce Republican nominees who appear on the November 3 ballot to local voters. Organizers stated that some voters have indicated they lack sufficient information to make decisions on down-ballot races.
The stated goal of the meeting is to increase name recognition for these candidates so that voters can make informed choices for federal, state, and county offices, as well as judicial positions.
All Republican nominees for the upcoming election have been invited to attend. While some candidates have confirmed their participation, others have not yet responded. Refreshments will be provided for attendees at the venue.
