Van Alstyne begins the 2026 season Friday, Aug. 28 at home against Carter.
The Panthers are ranked No. 410 in Texas by On3; Carter sits at No. 397, setting up a close matchup to open the year.
The following Friday, Sept. 4, Van Alstyne travels to Aubrey, ranked No. 251. On Sept. 11 the Panthers host Greenville, ranked No. 484. Van Alstyne plays 10 regular-season games in all.
For a program in a town this size, the early-season stretch against Carter, Aubrey and Greenville is the part of the schedule where a season's direction usually gets set, well before district seeding is decided.
