Houston Texans receiver Nico Collins may return against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported. Collins has been ruled out of Houston's Week 3 contest with a hamstring injury, but Schefter said the receiver has a "decent chance" to be back for the Dallas game.
Collins has appeared in one game this season, Houston's Week 1 loss to the Buffalo Bills. He finished that game with seven receptions, 75 yards and a touchdown. Houston quarterback C.J. Stroud has taken the Texans to the playoffs, and the team reached the postseason last year before falling to the New England Patriots.
Dallas will be without cornerback Cobie Durant and safeties Malik Hooker and P.J. Locke for its Week 3 matchup with the Baltimore Ravens in Brazil. Their status for Week 4 against Houston has not been determined. The Cowboys are using DaRon Bland and Shavon Revel at cornerback and rank 17th in pass defense, giving up 218 yards per game.
Caleb Downs has also joined Dallas' secondary and stepped up, although the source said the group still has work to do.
