The Dallas Cowboys have ruled out Cobie Durant, Malik Hooker, P.J. Locke and DeMarvion Overshown for the Week 3 meeting with Baltimore. The teams are both 1-1, and Dallas is designated as the home team for the international game at Maracanã Stadium, which is set for 3:25 p.m.
CT. None of the four practiced Wednesday or Thursday, and they will not travel to Rio de Janeiro.
Durant, a cornerback who joined Dallas this offseason after four seasons with the Rams, started the first two games and played 87 defensive snaps. He injured his hamstring in the win over Washington last Sunday and was expected to miss multiple weeks. Hooker has been out since breaking his forearm in the opener against the New York Giants.
He started that game but left after 12 defensive snaps. Locke replaced him in the lineup against Washington, playing 31 snaps before a torn plantar fascia in his foot ended his game.
Overshown will miss a second consecutive game because of the hamstring strain he suffered against the Giants. He started that contest, recorded seven tackles and left the game. Jaishawn Barham is expected to take on a larger role, while second-year cornerback Shavon Revel Jr. is expected to see additional action with Durant sidelined.
