Noah Brown, a wide receiver previously with the Dallas Cowboys, has joined the Las Vegas Raiders, as announced by the team. This addition brings a physical presence to the Raiders' receiving group, prompting the release of defensive tackle Benito Jones to make room on the roster.
Brown's career has been marked by injuries, causing him to miss 19 games during his time with the Washington Commanders. Nevertheless, when healthy, he demonstrated his skills, achieving 40 receptions for 536 yards and one touchdown, with an average of 13.4 yards per catch.
Originally drafted by the Cowboys in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft out of Ohio State, Brown gained recognition for his reliability. During his 2022 season in Dallas, he recorded 43 catches for 555 yards and three touchdowns, providing crucial support to quarterback Dak Prescott.
After his Cowboys tenure, he moved to the Houston Texans, where he had a successful season with 33 receptions for 567 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 17.2 yards per reception.
While the Raiders do not expect Brown to be the primary offensive focus, his experience and toughness may enhance their receiving options. This signing presents a new chapter for Brown as he aims to further his NFL career after facing challenges in Washington.
