The Dallas Cowboys have ruled out linebacker DeMarvion Overshown, safeties P.J. Locke and Malik Hooker, and cornerback Cobie Durant for Sunday’s game against Baltimore in Brazil. All four missed practice throughout the week and did not travel for the game. Three of the absences are defensive starters, while Locke is Dallas’ third safety and a primary reserve.
Team executive vice president Stephen Jones said Overshown and Hooker could have an opportunity to return in Week 4 at the Houston Texans. Overshown has a hamstring strain, and Hooker is recovering from a fractured forearm. Both injuries happened in the season opener against the Giants, and both players also missed Dallas’ Week 2 win over Washington.
Overshown is the defense’s signal caller, but neither player has been cleared.
Durant’s hamstring injury and Locke’s foot injury are not expected to be healed in time for Houston, according to the source. Dallas will face a Baltimore offense led by quarterback Lamar Jackson and running back Derrick Henry. The Cowboys’ defense ranked in the bottom three in total defense in 2025 and is 29th among the NFL’s 32 teams through two games this season.
