Baylor football has announced its projected offensive starters as preparations for the new season continue. The lineup is taking shape following the second week of fall camp.
DJ Lagway is named the starting quarterback, with coaches commending his performance since joining the program. Lagway has expressed confidence in the offensive system crafted by Jake Spavital, which may enhance his abilities in the Big 12.
Dawson Pendergrass is anticipated to be the starting running back. After missing the previous season, he aims to make a notable impact, having previously recorded more than 670 rushing yards and six touchdowns during his first two years. His physical running style and pass-catching ability are expected to be significant assets.
The wide receiver lineup is expected to feature Louis Brown IV and Dre'lon Miller. Brown, who has played for Colorado State and San Diego State, is seen as a key deep threat. Miller, a former top recruit, had a successful time at Colorado, demonstrating versatility.
Gavin Freeman, who transferred from Oklahoma State, is likely to take on the slot receiver position, known for his speed and agility in short routes.
The offensive line will consist of Logan Moore at left tackle, Nate Kibble at left guard, Koltin Sieracki at center, and Asher Hale at right guard, with the right tackle position still to be determined.
