The UCF Knights secured a hard-fought victory over the visiting TCU Horned Frogs with a final score of 21-13 at Acrisure Bounce House in Orlando, Florida. The outcome was largely defined by UCF’s ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities in the second half, particularly after a tense third quarter that ended in a tie.
The game began with immediate offensive production from both sides. Taevion Swint broke through for a 13-yard touchdown run early in the first period, giving the Knights an initial 7-0 lead thanks to Will Stone’s kick. TCU responded swiftly, with Jeremy Payne powering in from one yard out to tie the game at 7-7.
Offensive Efficiency Defines UCF
Keyone Jenkins orchestrated the Knights' offense with remarkable precision throughout the contest. He completed 19 of his 20 pass attempts for 160 yards and one touchdown, showcasing exceptional accuracy that kept TCU’s defense off balance. His connection with Caden Piening proved critical in the second quarter; Jenkins found Piening on a 19-yard pass to retake the lead at 14-10.
While TJC’s Jaden Craig amassed 310 passing yards, he struggled with accuracy and ball security, throwing two interceptions. The Horned Frogs managed to keep the game close through their kicking game, with Nate McCashland adding field goals of 29 and 45 yards in the second and third quarters respectively. These kicks brought TCU within one point at 14-13 heading into the final period.
