First Half Dominance
The Texas A&M Aggies established control early at Kyle Field, building an insurmountable lead through the first half against the Arkansas Razorbacks. The game began with Arkansas striking first, as Carsyn Baker punched in from two yards out to take a 7-0 advantage.
However, the momentum shifted rapidly when KJ Edwards answered with a 20-yard rushing touchdown, putting A&M ahead 14-7 just before the midway point of the first period.
Chris Marshall attempted to rally the Razorbacks back into contention, connecting with quarterback KJ Jackson on a 26-yard pass to trim the deficit to 14-7. But Texas A&M’s offense refused to let Arkansas gain traction. Marcel Reed added another rushing score from one yard out in the second quarter, extending the lead to 21-7.
David Olano capped the first half with a 57-yard field goal, pushing the halftime margin to 24-7.
Third Quarter Expansion
The Aggies continued their offensive rhythm in the third quarter, further distancing themselves from the visiting team. KJ Edwards found the end zone again, this time on a three-yard run, making the score 31-7. This performance highlighted Edwards’ dual-threat capability, contributing significantly to the ground game alongside his receiving stats.
