Grayson County's budget for 2027 will increase property tax revenue by over $3.5 million.
The Van Alstyne ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved the district's 2026-27 budget and a total tax rate of $1.1687 per $100 of valuation during its August 17 meeting.
The Van Alstyne City Council will consider a resolution to propose the 2026 property tax rate during a special-called meeting on August 12, 2026. Officials will also schedule a public hearing for community comments.
