Van Alstyne, Texas — The Cowboys have added Will Grier to their offensive staff, moving the former quarterback into a coaching post before camp.
He will now serve on Brian Schottenheimer’s staff, again working in the same organization as Dak Prescott.
Van Alstyne-area Cowboys supporters will see Grier begin the staff assignment as camp opens next week.
The July 24 announcement followed Grier’s retirement from playing. ESPN reported that his decision came July 15 after an offseason spent with the Panthers.
