The U.S. 75 frontage roads through Van Alstyne are still running one way this week, the Texas Department of Transportation's Paris District says in its road report for the week of Oct. 5.

The one-way pattern covers the frontage roads from County Line Road, also known as CR 375 or Panther Parkway, north to Haning Street. One exception remains: the east-side frontage road between Kelly Lane and County Line Road still carries traffic in both directions.

At Bear Road only one lane is open while crews finish striping and other remaining items. TxDOT also lists a new U-turn bridge near Simmons Loop among the work on this stretch, which is part of the project widening U.S. 75 between the Collin County line and FM 902. The speed limit in the work zone is 65 mph.

TxDOT notes that weather and equipment problems can push schedules back. Questions can go to the agency's Sherman Area Office at 903-892-6529.

Van Alstyne is about 15 miles south of Sherman. Our Sherman site has the full county list, including closures on U.S. 75 through Sherman and several county bridge detours: https://sherman.city/article/u-s-75-work-frontage-road-closures-continue-in-grayson-county-for-week-of-oct-5
