Van Alstyne has put updated construction-code editions into effect and changed Development Services office hours, with both changes dated Oct. 1 on the city’s website.
Development Services is now open Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday hours are 8 a.m. to noon. The department handles planning, building and permitting, code compliance and engineering.
The city’s permit page lists 2021 editions for its building, residential, fire, plumbing, mechanical and other construction codes, together with regional amendments. The National Electrical Code is listed separately as the 2020 edition.
