Late Surge Decides Tight Contention
The decisive momentum shift occurred late in the fourth quarter, when Dallas Mavericks forward Cooper Flagg hit a 24-foot three-pointer to give the visitors a 111-108 lead. That basket, assisted by Kyrie Irving, proved to be the final margin of victory as the Mavericks held off a late Miami Heat push to win 113-109.
The game ended with a flurry of scoring from both sides, but Dallas maintained its slight edge in the closing minutes at the Kaseya Center.
Flagg and Antetokounmpo Trade Blows
This was a battle of two high-volume stars. Cooper Flagg led the Mavericks with 29 points and 11 assists, providing the offensive spark for the visiting team. On the other side, Miami’s Giannis Antetokounmpo matched Flagg with 29 points while also dishing out 11 assists.
Antetokounmpo was a force on the glass, grabbing 14 rebounds to anchor the Heat’s frontcourt. The statistical tie in scoring and playmaking highlighted the offensive efficiency both teams displayed throughout the contest.
