Angela Stanford is joining TCU’s women’s golf staff as an assistant coach, returning to the university where she set multiple program marks as a player. Stanford is from Saginaw, which is about 15 miles from Fort Worth.
Her TCU playing career lasted from 1996 to 2000. She earned All-American honors four times, a program record, and remains the school’s only four-time All-American. Stanford also holds TCU’s mark for most victories, with 10.
Head coach Ravaioli-Larkin said the program was thrilled to bring Stanford back as its third coach. Ravaioli-Larkin pointed to Stanford’s background as a major champion and her work leading the U.S. Solheim Cup team. Stanford’s hiring followed her recent position as U.S. captain at the Solheim Cup. TCU did not provide additional information about her responsibilities with the team.
