Malik Hooker was not on the Dallas Cowboys’ practice field Wednesday after sustaining a forearm fracture during the team’s Sunday defeat by the Giants. The injury has left his availability for the next game in question, based on a report cited by cbssports.com.

The report said the fracture could prevent Hooker from taking part when Dallas plays the Commanders Sunday. It did not provide additional information about Hooker’s status. The Cowboys’ Wednesday practice therefore came without the player, following the injury he suffered in the loss to the Giants.

The update identifies the fracture and missed practice, but gives no further details about his availability for the Commanders game.

Hooker’s status links the Cowboys’ practice absence with the upcoming Sunday matchup. The report leaves open the possibility that the forearm injury will keep him out of that game. It also provides no additional information beyond the fracture, Wednesday absence and possibility of missing Sunday’s contest.
