The NFL has imposed a fine of $500,000 on both the Dallas Cowboys and the New Orleans Saints due to multiple fights during their joint practice. This decision follows a session marked by significant physicality, where reports indicated that over ten altercations occurred, including pushing and shoving.

Notably, Cowboys edge rusher Donovan Ezeiruaku was ejected after throwing a punch, which was his second ejection during training camp.

Just two days after the joint practice, another scuffle broke out involving tight end Jake Ferguson and linebacker DeMarvion Overshown. This incident reportedly began when Ferguson reacted to a tackle by throwing the ball at Overshown, although it was quickly resolved without further escalation.

Head coach Brian Schottenheimer expressed his disappointment regarding the fights, indicating that they hindered the team's ability to focus on essential practice work. He remarked on the need to concentrate during training, stating, "Nobody wants this. We want to get the work in."

With the joint practices now behind them, the Cowboys are set to face the Arizona Cardinals in their next preseason game.
