Oziyah Sellers has joined SMU’s men’s basketball program after playing for three schools, but his eligibility status remains undecided. SMU announced that Sellers has enrolled and is practicing with the team. The school did not give a timeline for a decision.
Sellers spent the 2024-25 season at Stanford, starting every game and averaging 13.7 points per contest in the ACC. Before that, he played two seasons at USC under SMU coach Andy Enfield.
At St. John’s in 2025-26, Sellers started 36 games and averaged 10.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists. The Red Storm went 30-7 and won the Big East championship. Sellers has made 37.8% of his career three-point attempts, including a career-best 42.9% as a USC sophomore, and has converted 86.9% of his free throws.
SMU is entering its third season with Enfield, and its 2026-27 transfer class is ranked No. 21 nationally by On3.
