The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to extend wide receiver Ryan Flournoy’s contract through the 2027 season, with the deal reportedly worth $6 million. The agreement is expected to be signed this week and covers one additional year.
Flournoy was selected by Dallas in the sixth round of the 2024 draft. He was waived during the team’s initial roster reductions in 2025, cleared waivers and later rejoined the Cowboys’ organization on the practice squad. That move replaced his original four-year rookie contract, leaving him with three years on the new agreement and a possible restricted-free-agent season afterward.
The extension eliminates the possibility that Flournoy would become a restricted free agent after the 2026 season, giving Dallas control of his contract for another year. It comes before the Cowboys’ regular-season opener against the New York Giants.
The team described Flournoy’s 2025 campaign as a breakout season, and the deal provides additional opportunities for him to develop in 2026 and 2027 while preserving the possibility of a longer contract later. Dallas also recently gave tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford a three-year contract extension.
