Northwestern State head coach Blaine McCorkle will guide the Demons to Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas, for a 2028 football game against TCU. The contest is scheduled for Saturday, September 2, 2028. A contract obtained via public records shows TCU will pay a $600,000 guarantee to Northwestern State for the appearance.
This engagement represents the second football meeting between the two programs, following a 2001 contest where the Demons won 27-24 in overtime.
The Demons compete in the Southland Conference within the Football Championship Subdivision. Based in Natchitoches, Louisiana, the team has started its current season with losses to Louisiana Christian and Louisiana Tech. The 2028 schedule also includes a home game against Central Arkansas on September 16.
For TCU, this matchup completes the non-conference slate for the 2028 season. The Horned Frogs will open their year at home against Louisiana on August 26 and visit Duke on September 9. The Big 12 Conference has not yet released specific conference opponents for that year, though TCU is expected to play five home games and four road games.
