Jordan Dwyer is expected to return when TCU opens Big 12 play against UCF on Sept. 26. The wide receiver has been sidelined by a foot injury and has not played in the Horned Frogs’ first three games of the 2026 season.
Coach Sonny Dykes provided the update after TCU’s 31-7 victory over Arkansas State. He said Dwyer’s presence could help the team, though his availability for the UCF game remains unconfirmed beyond the coach’s statement. TCU enters conference play with a 2-1 record.
Dwyer transferred to TCU from Idaho and was a key offensive contributor in 2025. He started every regular-season game, recording 54 receptions, 730 yards and seven touchdowns. In his TCU debut against North Carolina, he caught nine passes for 136 yards and one touchdown.
With Dwyer out, Ed Small has taken on a larger role among the receivers, while tight end Kari Ashley contributed against Arkansas State. Their production has given quarterback Jaden Craig multiple targets during the opening games.
