The Houston Texans are looking into the possibility of signing cornerback Jaden Davis, who was previously with the Arizona Cardinals. Davis has been cleared to play and took part in a workout with the Texans, according to reports from KPRC 2's Aaron Wilson on September 5.

Davis was drafted by the Cardinals in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, making him the 226th overall selection. His recent workout was showcased in a social media video that highlighted his readiness to return to the game.

The Texans aim to strengthen their cornerback lineup, which has been affected by injuries this season, a trend that has continued since 2025. At present, safety Jalen Pitre is stepping in as the nickelback, while Jaylin Smith, a third-round draft choice in 2025, has missed a considerable amount of time during his rookie year due to injuries.

Davis was recognized in The Athletic's draft guide as one of the top available prospects. NFL draft analyst Lance Zierlein noted that he is a nickel corner with notable foot speed and agility, although he needs to enhance his anticipation skills for improved performance in the NFL. Further updates regarding Davis's potential signing with the Texans are anticipated as developments unfold.
