Houston Texans coach DeMeco Ryans said Monday that linebacker Henry To'oTo'o is expected to be sidelined after hurting his shoulder in the team's 36-31 loss to Buffalo. The injury occurred with 2:34 left in the fourth quarter as To'oTo'o tackled Bills tight end Dawson Knox. He needed assistance getting up, went to the sideline and did not return.
Houston has not decided whether to place To'oTo'o on injured reserve, Ryans said. The Texans drafted him in the fifth round in 2023, and he signed a two-year, $16 million extension in August.
The Bills scored 36 points, Houston's second-highest total allowed during Ryans' tenure. Tampa Bay scored 37 against the Texans in 2023. Houston had not surrendered more than 30 points since giving up 31 to Baltimore on Christmas in 2024.
The Texans' next stretch includes a home game against Cincinnati, a road matchup with Indianapolis and a home meeting with Dallas. All three opponents finished among the NFL's top 12 scoring offenses last season. ESPN reported the injury news.
