The Houston Texans have not determined whether wide receiver Nico Collins will play against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2 after he missed consecutive workouts with a hamstring injury. Collins was injured during Houston's Wednesday practice and did not participate Thursday or Friday.
Adam Schefter reported that the team's doctors did not consider the injury serious. Ian Rapoport also said Friday on *The Pat McAfee Show* that the hamstring issue did not appear serious, but he viewed Collins' absence from two practices as a negative indication for his chances of playing. His official game status remains unsettled.
Collins, 27, began the 2026 season with seven catches, 75 receiving yards and one touchdown on 10 targets during Houston's 36-31 loss to the Buffalo Bills. He had surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in every one of the prior three seasons.
ClutchPoints.com reported that Collins might be able to return when Houston plays the Indianapolis Colts in Week 3 on Sept. 27 if he is unavailable against Cincinnati.
