The Texas Longhorns exploded for 14 runs, overcoming an early deficit to defeat the Alabama Crimson Tide 14-2 on Monday, June 15, 2026. The game’s turning point arrived in the second inning when A. Rodriguez hit a triple to deep left-center, driving in two more runs to extend Texas’s lead to 7-1. Rodriguez and A. Pack Jr. were the primary catalysts for the Longhorns’ offense, combining for four runs scored and multiple RBIs.

Texas, playing as the home team, established control early. After Alabama took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, Texas answered immediately. A. Mendoza doubled to left to start the rally, followed by A. Rodriguez’s double to right that brought in two more runs. The Longhorns added a run in the bottom of the second on a single by L. Riojas was supported by the bullpen, which combined for three scoreless innings. Walls pitched two perfect innings with two strikeouts, Walker recorded one strikeout in 0.1 innings, and Howard earned one strikeout in 0.2 innings.

Alabama’s pitching staff struggled to contain the Longhorns’ bats. Adams took the loss, falling to 8-5, after allowing seven earned runs on seven hits in 1.2 innings. Heiberger pitched four innings, allowing three earned runs on three hits. Banks and Upchurch also gave up runs, with Banks allowing one earned run in one inning and Upchurch surrendering two earned runs in 1.1 innings.

Scoring Summary

Alabama scored its first run in the top of the second inning when J. Lemm singled to left. Texas responded with a run in the bottom of the fourth when J. Lemm homered to right. The Longhorns’ offense continued to pile on runs in the sixth inning. Pack Jr. homered to left, scoring A. Robbins, and Rodriguez homered to right, scoring C. Early, pushing the lead to 11-2. The Longhorns added three more runs in the eighth inning. Pack Jr. singled to left, scoring Robbins, Peterson grounded out to first, scoring Courville, and Rodriguez doubled to right, scoring Pack Jr.

Final Records

With the victory, the Texas Longhorns improved their record to 46-14. The Alabama Crimson Tide fell to 42-21. The game was played at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska.
