Key Moments Define Contest
The Oakland Athletics secured a 5-2 victory over the Texas Rangers on Sunday at Sutter Health Park, driven by offensive production from Brenton Butler and Tyler Gelof. The game featured four home runs in total, with two of them coming in pivotal stretches for Sacramento.
Butler provided early momentum for the home team in the second inning. He launched a 394-foot home run to right field that also drove in Chase White, giving the A’s a 2-1 advantage after Burger had opened the scoring for Texas with a 396-foot blast to right center.
The Rangers tied the game in the third inning when Travis Langford scored on a groundout by Marcus Semien. However, Gelof answered in the seventh inning, hitting a 403-foot home run to right center that also brought in Cole Taylor, extending Oakland’s lead to 4-2.
White added insurance in the eighth inning with a 413-foot home run to center field, pushing the final margin to 5-2. The four home runs accounted for all six runs scored by both teams combined.

Jacob Lopez was the workhorse for the Athletics, pitching six innings and allowing two earned runs on five hits while striking out six batters. He received support from the bullpen, which held Texas scoreless over the final three innings of relief.
