Baldwin was the catalyst for Atlanta’s offensive explosion, delivering a three-run home run in the fourth inning that shifted the momentum entirely in favor of the home team. His power surge was part of a larger barrage that saw the Braves score 15 runs, leaving the Texas Rangers with just a single tally in a 15-1 final score on Friday at Truist Park.
Baldwin’s 419-foot shot to center field in the fourth inning broke a 0-2 tie and sent Jarvis and Hicklen to the plate with a lead. He later added an RBI single in the fifth inning. In the seventh, he scored on a double by Harris II and later crossed the plate again, finishing with multiple runs scored and driven in.
Braves Score Early and Often
The Braves jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the second inning. Smith scored on a single by Baldwin, and Riley later crossed the plate on a double by Albies, with Baldwin moving to second base.
