The turning point arrived in the seventh inning when Brian McCann delivered a two-run single, shifting the momentum firmly in Atlanta’s favor after the Rangers had kept the contest close for five frames.
Offensive Highlights
Matt Olson led the way for Atlanta with a career-high five hits, including two home runs. His first long ball came in the third inning, a 395-foot shot to right center that extended the Braves' lead. Olson added another solo shot in the eighth inning, a 392-foot drive to center field that proved to be the insurance run.
Matt Riley also provided significant power, launching two home runs. His first came in the second inning, a 416-foot blast to left field. Riley’s second home run arrived in the fourth inning, a 413-foot shot to center field that gave Atlanta a 4-0 advantage.
Spencer Hicklen contributed with a double in the seventh inning that scored one run, helping the Braves break open the game. Austin Riley added a single in the seventh that drove in two more runs, further widening the gap.
