High school theatre's 11th annual haunted house, 'The Asylum,' opens tonight for a three-night run

Van Alstyne High School's theatre students are bringing back their haunted house for an 11th year, starting tonight.

This year's theme is "The Asylum," according to a Van Alstyne ISD announcement posted Monday. The haunted house is set up inside the VAHS Black Box Theatre and is open three evenings:

Monday, Oct. 26, 6 to 9 p.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 27, 6 to 9 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 28, 6 to 9 p.m.

Admission is $5 at the door. The district describes the event as one of the theatre program's annual Halloween traditions and invited the public to come out for a scare while supporting the VAHS Theatre students who put it on.

The run wraps up Wednesday night, a few days before Halloween itself, which falls on a Saturday this year.

Questions about the event can go to Van Alstyne High School or the district office at (903) 482-8802.
