Van Alstyne, Texas — Gas prices in the Sherman-Denison area averaged $3.3230 per gallon for regular unleaded on July 13, 2026, according to AAA, down from $3.3400 yesterday. That is up from $3.1560 a week ago but higher than $3.3170 a month ago.

The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.4210, while the national average is $3.8720. Drivers in the Sherman-Denison area are paying below the state average and below the national average.

The Sherman-Denison average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8150. Regular prices are about 1 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.8800, drivers are paying about 44 cents more per gallon.

Diesel in the Sherman-Denison area averages $4.4740 per gallon, AAA reported.
