Van Alstyne, Texas — Gas prices in the Sherman-Denison area averaged $3.3010 per gallon for regular unleaded on July 14, 2026, according to AAA, down from $3.3230 yesterday. That is up from $3.1300 a week ago but lower than $3.3070 a month ago.

The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.4100, while the national average is $3.8590. Drivers in the Sherman-Denison area are paying below the state average and below the national average.

The Sherman-Denison average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8150. Regular prices are about 1 cents lower than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.8750, drivers are paying about 43 cents more per gallon.

Diesel in the Sherman-Denison area averages $4.4580 per gallon, AAA reported.
