The Houston Astros secured an 11-2 victory over the Texas Rangers on Saturday, driven by a significant offensive outburst in the seventh inning that proved insurmountable for Texas. Yainer Diaz provided the power spark, launching a home run to left center in the seventh. The win improved Houston's record to 56-55, while the Rangers fell to .500 at 55-55.
Offensive Explosion Continues
Houston built its lead through consistent production across multiple innings. In the second inning, the Astros loaded the bases and capitalized when Alvarez singled to left field, driving in two runs to make it 3-0. The scoring continued in the fourth when Peña singled to left, adding another run.
The fifth inning saw back-to-back home runs from Paredes and Walker, extending the lead to 6-0. Paredes launched a 395-foot shot to left, followed by Walker's 428-foot blast to left center. Texas managed to get on the board in the sixth when Pederson homered to right center, making it 6-1. Carter added an RBI single later in the frame, bringing the score to 6-2.
