Van Alstyne city council members recently approved the annexation of roughly 67 acres of land near FM 3133. The decision was made as part of the consent agenda, according to Mike Shaw, a spokesperson for the city. This vacant parcel is designated for the future use of Airview A/C, a locally owned business that is seeking to increase its physical footprint.
Monica Perez, a co-owner of Airview A/C, described the company as a significant driver of local growth. Her partner, Sergio Perez, explained that the firm is receiving increased interest from commercial and residential partners as new developments emerge across Grayson County. The current office size limits the company's capacity, prompting the need for a larger facility to support their expanding operations.
The expansion is expected to create additional employment opportunities within the city. Monica Perez stated that the company aims to bring more jobs and tax revenue to the area. She noted that the business intends to maintain its commitment to the local community, including current and future residents, as it grows.
