The Houston Texans have signed cornerback Bryce Hall as they prepare for a preseason matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. This announcement was made by general manager Nick Caserio on August 17, following Hall's workout with the team.
Hall, who is 28 years old, has a background with the New York Jets and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was selected 158th overall in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Over his career, Hall has played in 40 games, starting 26 of them, and has recorded a total of 122 tackles, two interceptions, one fumble recovery, one defensive touchdown, and half a sack. Standing at 6-foot-1, he brings versatility and is expected to help improve the Texans' special teams, an area in need of enhancement.
The Texans are currently dealing with injuries in their secondary, affecting several players, including Tank Dell and Brevin Jordan. These injury challenges may impact the team's special teams, making Hall's signing a timely addition as he aims to provide both depth and experience. Further updates regarding the Texans' roster and injury situation are expected as the preseason continues.
