The game’s momentum shifted dramatically in the eighth inning when Josh Osuna delivered a 364-foot home run to right field. The blast provided three runs, turning a tight contest into a comfortable lead for the home team. Osuna’s shot capped a rapid offensive surge that began when Leody Taveras singled to left, allowing Bobby Witt Jr. to score. Taveras advanced to second on the play. Shortly after, Josh Jung singled to left, driving in Taveras and extending the Rangers’ advantage. Osuna’s homer sealed the offensive output, as he scored both Taveras and Witt Jr. on the play, giving Texas a commanding 8-3 lead.
Early Scoring and Pitching Battles
Texas took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning. Salvador Perez doubled to left, allowing Evan Carter to score. In the same frame, Adolis Garcia singled to center, bringing Perez home.
