Alonso Leads Offensive Surge

Pete Alonso delivered the decisive offensive performance, hitting two home runs to help the Baltimore Orioles secure a 10-5 victory over the Texas Rangers on Sunday at Globe Life Field. The two-time home run performance provided the critical momentum for Baltimore, which established an early lead and never relinquished it.

Alonso’s first home run arrived in the second inning. With the score at 3-0, he launched a two-run shot to left field, measuring 393 feet. The blast extended the Orioles' advantage to 5-0, putting significant pressure on the Rangers' pitching staff early in the contest.

Alonso added another long ball in the fourth inning, driving a 404-foot shot to left center field that scored another run, pushing the margin to 7-3.

Orioles Build Early Lead

Baltimore’s offense was active from the opening frame. In the first inning, the Orioles loaded the bases and scored on a single, followed by a double that brought in another run to take a 2-0 lead. The scoring continued in the second inning when Kyle Tucker homered to center field, a 441-foot blast that made it 3-0.

The Rangers managed to respond in the third inning. With the bases loaded, Brandon Nimmo hit a 434-foot home run to center field. The home run scored three runs, cutting the deficit to 5-3 and briefly keeping Texas in the game. However, the Orioles’ offense quickly answered back, and their lead grew again in the fourth before the Rangers could mount a sustained rally.

Late Inning Scoring and Records

The Orioles added insurance runs in the sixth inning. Ryan Mountcastle hit a 425-foot home run to center field, scoring a run to make the score 9-3. The game’s final runs came in the ninth inning. The Orioles added one run on a bases-loaded walk, while the Rangers scored two runs on a triple and a groundout, resulting in a final score of 10-5.

Baltimore’s pitching staff held the Rangers to five runs over the course of the game. The Orioles’ bullpen played a key role in maintaining the lead after the starter’s outing.

The victory improved the Baltimore Orioles’ record to 57-61. The loss dropped the Texas Rangers to 59-59. The game drew an attendance of 35,334 at Globe Life Field.
