Turning Point

The game’s decisive momentum shifted in the fourth inning when the Houston Astros erupted for four runs to break a tie. The rally began with Jose Altuve reaching base, setting the stage for a flurry of scoring that included two wild pitches by Texas Rangers pitcher Cole Winn.

Although the Rangers challenged one of the runs scored on a wild pitch, the call on the field was upheld, giving Houston the lead they would not relinquish.

Scoring Summary

Texas Rangers took an early 1-0 lead in the second inning when Corey Seager singled to right field, allowing Jose Altuve to score. The Rangers tied the game in the third inning when Adolis Garcia homered to left field. Shortly after, Marcus Semien singled to left, driving in two more runs to put Texas ahead 3-1.

Houston answered in the fourth. Josh Hader singled to right, scoring Corey Seager. A sacrifice bunt by Jose Altuve allowed Hader to advance, and a subsequent infield single by Adolis Garcia brought Seager home.

The inning continued with wild pitches that allowed two more runs to cross the plate, extending Houston’s lead to 5-3. In the sixth inning, Yordan Alvarez hit a home run to right field, adding an insurance run to make it 5-4.

His performance helped secure the win, improving his record to 5-1. Bryan Abreu closed out the ninth inning with a perfect frame of relief, striking out one batter. Josh Hader recorded the save with a scoreless tenth-inning appearance.
